Craft Addicted??? LOL

They tell me I’m an addict! Just because I start to twitch
When I see a different card idea my fingers start to itch.
My eyes begin to water and I simply cannot wait
To grab a card and get my tape and then start to create.
To stick some paper to a card and add a bead or two
Perhaps a piece of ribbon to create a look that’s new
I find the hours just zipping past as I sit down and create
I should get up and clean the house..but that will have to wait...
It’s not my fault my garden has now gone to rack and ruin
That the kitchen floor is desperate for attention from a broom
That the table has become engulfed in card and stamps and tape
And the children are existing on milk and store bought cake!
My husband says I just ‘tune out’ and has expressed a fear
That the papers on my desk have somehow learnt to breed this year
I never should have listened to those friends of mine who said
‘Come to Card Class with us!’ I followed where they led..
It’s all their fault! What kind of friends would do that, anyway?
They seemed to be such lovely girls, but they led me astray.
Now they say I’m addicted - to Craft! Could it be true?
I say ‘If I’m addicted, then you all must be too!’
So I’m off to ‘Craft Anonymous’ to see if I can find
Some people who will help me do one project at a time
I hope it’s not too boring – do you think it would be wrong
If, just to pass the time, I take my Cardmaking along?!? LMAO :) :)
