always my STAR

This LO is certainly very different to the way it started out…when I first looks at the colour chart for colours to go with the (Australian)  green & gold  colours, I was searching everywhere for blue & red-violet LOL - coz those the split complimentary colours---believe it or not!

Anyways, this is a photo taken almost 20 years ago (1992) when my older son played rugby league for Chipping Norton (part of Canterbury Bulldogs junior league) in NSW J You can see he was a very proud player, and I have to say he was a very talented young player with huge potential – he even received an invitation to a New Zealand Warriors sports camp - for potential warriers :)…Now he has his own family including a son, I think he’s considering playing again one day !! …isn’t it interesting how life’s priorities change (for the better of course?

As usual you can see some closies below :)

I’m submitting this LO for the following challenges:
·         The Box’s challenge#20 : 1 photo, 3 different patterned papers, 1 or more cardstock , stitching, punching, a quote or medium length journaling, embellishments
  • Scrap the Boys November challenge: Scrap the boys in their colour/s of sports that they love
  • Scrap Lounge November sketch : (turned on its side) Scrap Lounge is a new cyber place for me. I’ve met a couple of their design team IRL so thought I’d have a peek and so far I LOVE what I’ve seen. I’ve also put my name down for their “2012 12 days of Christmas competition” so I’m planning on entering that, just for fun from the 18th November – why don’t you have a go too?

Supplies I’ve used:
Cardstock: Kraft and a tiny piece of white Bazzill
Pps: S.E.I (x1) and Tim Holtz Distressables (x2)
C/Board: A-Z (STAR title and stars)
Tim Holtz: fence die & tags Cuttlebug (embossed green sun)
My2Angels Boots and sweatshirt charms
EK success punch
Gel pen (faux stitching)
My Minds Eye: quote and die cut
Tim Holtz:  Distress Inks: frayed burlap and pine needles; distress stains: antique linen & vintage photo; Distress powder (vintage photo); Crackle Paint (clear rock candy & white picket fence);
Other, unknown: Corrugated cardboard, fibre, Silver Star button, beaded tree

I’ve had a huge amount of fun creating this LO and gathering all the bits’n’pieces – it was quite a challenge to start with,  but seems I was on a roll once I started…well, Monday tomorrow so …..Have a great week everybody.{hugs} Mazz xxx

My fairy

Your fairy is called Columbine Goblinglitter
She is a bringer of riches and wealth.
She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows.
She is only seen in the light of a shooting star.
She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.
