Orange Paperie's September Recipe challenge - ingredients: 1 black and white pic, ribbon, chippy/s, inking, distressing and a two word title

Yep this gorgeous photo, taken by DS#1, is of my 2 simply irrisistable grandaughters and I've been waiting for an ideal challenge to scrap them. I'm really happy with the result, specially since orange is my own favourite colour.

Dining Out

True to my promises :)
This is my LO for Stop#2 over at "India" for the Top 50 Scrapbooking Australia Amazing Race...The criteria to be included on the layout for India are as follows:
1. Create a "busy" layout with lots on the page to look at..oh yeah - totally my style and yep it is sure busy "with lots to look at" too LOL
2. Use at least 2 bright colours...oh year I've used brights all over - orange, pink and green :)
3. Use gold somewhere on your layout... I've used gold embossing powder, gold ribbon with gold bling and gold liquid pearls.
The photo is of my DM and DD, with my DH and I, at a little local Indian restaurant, during my parents' visit (from NZ) when they toured Australia in 2008.
Since the country, although not literate, was India I thought it was about time to create this memory :)

go the Whole HOG!

This is the first LO I've created for The Amazing Race I mentioned that I've joined in over at Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia , ...our first stop is Sydney and the "Stop 1" criteria is to
1. Use Aussie slang on your layout - hence my title "Go the Whole hog!". (interpreted HERE)
2. Include an Aussie Image (eg, flag, map) or an Aussie Animal - hence the Australian flat bottle top.
 3. Use a border punch or scallops - to represent the large iconic structures -hence the scallops on the 'coaster' and the doily edging.
The photo was taken at DH and my joint birthday dinner last year at our local Loaded Hog Cafe - and what a fabulous night we had with our Aussie mates :)
I'm just glad I'd kept the wee momentos as well. ..noting that the Loaded Hog is "100% Aussie" :).

Materials used:
Co-Ordinations cardstock; Delish pp; Tim Holtz Paper Rosette die; The Crafters Workshop template; paper doilies; fabric doily and Bazzill cardstock scallops; Purple Pumpkin buttons; Jo Sonja's paints (Burgundy & Warm White); Memories Mist (Diet Cola); Glimmer Mist (Cranberry Zing); Versa Color ink (Peony); my2angels black hat pin; washi tape; Adorn It, Creative Memories and Rusty Pickle alphas; Magic Mount; Helmar 450 Quick dry adhesive; lace, Rainbow Splendour pinwheel; black gel pen.  AND from the Amazing Race kit: D-Lish Scraps Cabachon Resin Flowers Ah Scrap Australian flag bottle top; Purple Pumpkin twine , A little bit fANTsy pearl hat pin, charms thanks to Vicki (aka the boss lady at Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia).

My fairy

Your fairy is called Columbine Goblinglitter
She is a bringer of riches and wealth.
She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows.
She is only seen in the light of a shooting star.
She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.
