Sweet Pippa

As you’ve mostly likely gathered by now, I have been ‘playing’ and absolutely loving other peoples’ photos to scrap! And this one was no exception.  Pippa is the sweet daughter of a work colleague of DH’s – and naturally they loved this too
This LO is for the Scrapbooking Top 10 Australia "date night" (Perfect Match) challenge. Its the last challenge I've had time for, but had specially lots of fun creating this one. For the challenge I've used Glimmer Mist, chipboard and bling.
I was also very lucky that my friend Tracy (true embellishment guru over at my2angels) gave me some of her newly released creamy latte sugar beads to tryout.  I think they are perfect for this LO and I think they add a classy texture.
I’ve wanted to use this beautiful Fairy Belle Prima pp (and butterflies) for ages, so I think the colours are a pretty mix.  I’ve used an exclusive Rachelle Minnet designed chipboard title SweetP cut up with the Heidi Swapp Chipboard alphas covered with Adirondack dabber (pearl) and glimmer glaze (pink lady) then covered with the creamy latte sugar beads.
I’ve spritzed Glimmer mists (Tutti fruiti and antique brass) all over the pps for the ‘aged’ effect too.  I made the pink flower on the right at the embellishment classes at my2angels last year, just popped extra beads on the top.
The remaining flowers were randomly selected from stash…please forgive me that I haven’t mentioned you…if you made them, please let me know so I can acknowledge you too J
The little daughter charming rose charm and chain  on the top left was a very creative embellishment made by Tracy a few weeks ago and I just love this collection…hopefully I will be able to use and share more soon.
Well, that’s another week come and gone…where is the time flying to? Until next time, hugs’n’hearts, Mazz xxx

Adore ... with GREAT-Grandad...

"A GREAT-Grandad has silver in his hair & gold in his heart"
I’ve created this LO for the February Purple Pumpkin sketch challenge:
As you can see I’ve been experimenting AND I just had to have a wee play with the new Twiddley Bitz (clock) template.
I just adore this photo taken by my niece, at the family Christmas gathering in 2011.
The photo is of my grandson and my dad (his great-grandad), so indeed a keepsake memory that I wanted to create something extra-special for.

 Supplies used:
Authentique pps; Purple Pumpkin buttons (Peter Rabbit); washi tape; Prima and Twiddley Bitz c/b; DMC tread; Twiddley Bitz (clock) and The Crafters Workshop (fence) masks; texture paste; Glimmer mist, Glimmer glaze and colour wash; my2angels felt heart; old playing card and old jewellery heart; Double sided tape and Helmar adhesives.
Thanks for looking, hugs’n’hearts, Mazz xxx

(my) Dream...

Bonsoir toute le monde (Good evening all)... This is a layout that has been a long time in the creating...I've finally finished it off with some my2angels charms (passport & Eiffel Tower) :)
This is another one for the Scrapbooking Top 50 "Date Night) cyber crop...I've chosen "expensive dinner" for Ant's ideal date challenge, the criteria is: "A food item somewhere in your LO and two or more bits of bling".  Can you see the 'food' ?  LOL

I can't remember if  I've shared about my amazing DH, with the help of a few 'velvet' friends LOL organising my  surprise 50th birthday party last year.  Well, long story short, I thought I was going to a french theme restaurant and this is what I had to wear (ha ha );

DH had organised all sorts of little 'surprises' actually an Eiffel Tower cake,  including staying at a French B&B as well as the French themed dinner- birthday party!
This is the first of LOTS of photos to be scrapped !!!  You can probably guess what my dream is (and has been for a long time) is to go to Paris...ah yes the theme of the birthday and on the front of all the (very secret I had no idea about) invitations was "if we cant go to Paris, I'll bring Paris here" LOL.  An amazing, wonderful and my  thanks again to everyone!
The beautiful purple flower was made by embelishment guru Tracy Keilty of my2angels and the silver one with the gorgeous bling brad is from a swap, made by talented Heidi Williams.

The 'bling' flowers came from Greenbank Scrapbook shop when I was on retreat in January.
The little black Eiffel Towers are designed and made by the lovely Kutilicious ladies.

The Dream title is chipboard covered in Plaid Extreme glitter glue.
Thanks so much for looking, until next time, hearts'n' hugs xx Mazz xx

Live Laugh Love Be Happy

Good afternoon to all - I've managed to find some time to create this afternoon, as promised, for the Scrapbooking Top 50 "Date Night" cybercrop.

I've chosen to go see "A romantic chick flick" and the criteria for "Vicki's Movie Date" challenge is to scrap a Love themed LO with at least 2 hearts.
This is what I've come up with. The photos are of my parents on their cruise around Australia a couple of years ago.
They totally deserved it too - in recognition of their 50th Wedding anniversary
I had not idea where the background cardstock came from but the rest of the pp and collectables are  from the Kaiser Pickled Pear Collection...I just adore them.

I've covered the silver charms (anchor, passport and ship's steering wheel) from my2angels with liquid pearls to match the colours on the butterflies and my own rosettes.

You will see I've found another use for my new heart template too!
The feathers and bling ribbon came from my stash and the lovely round flower/heart came from the gorgeous talented Chloe over at Rainbow Spendour.

Thanks for looking and joining in this afternoon, till the next time, hugs'n'hearts, Mazz :)

100% Princess

As I mentioned in my previous post, I simply love to play with other peoples’ photos and this one was no exception.
I decided to create a special LO for a work colleague friend for her birthday and when I saw the White with One (WW1) challenge it was just what I was looking for J
The WW1 February challenge is ‘white with pink and hearts’ and this is what I’ve come up with. The cute puppy’s name is Princess and naturally that’s how I came with the title – the rest just followed.
I’ve recently found the cute heart template (I bought from musthavecraft.com) and I think I’ll get to use it a lot J
Supplies used:
Bazzil Cardstock; Stamp-It embossing powder (enamelware); ColorBox Mica Magic Ink (pink); VersaColor (pinecone); white Gesso; October Afternoon colormist – Midway collection (pink balloon); Adorn it title sticker (princess dreams); my2angels’ lillies; Prima flowers; Prima trinket; A2Z c/b floral heart; my2angels charms (sunglasses and sun);  Charms Creations white lollipop; hearts template; Kaiser stamp; Tim Holtz distress ink (Victorian velvet); ribbon, staples, double sided tape, Helmar adhesives.
February is often known as the month of love. So time permitting, I’ll be participating in the “Date Night cyber crop” challenges at Scrapbooking Top50 Australia  over the next fortnight or so.

I do hope you’ll pop back, take a peek and say Hi tooJ
Thanks for looking, hugs’n’hearts, Mazz xxx

LOVE YOU FOREVER...

I finished this LO a couple of weeks ago - another one for a work colleague's birthday.  I so LOVE "playing" other peoples' photos LOL
The photo is actually of my colleague's daughter and grandchildren.

I'm so thrilled the way the colours came out, using one of my friend Jules's techniques of mixing up embossing powder and the gorgeous Kiwi Perfect Pearl Mists on the chipboard (tute link here )

Oh and btw the chippie was designed by the talented Rachelle Minett over at Scrapping Outback). In addition I used one of the excuisite charming chain from my2angels (naturally the 'love' key for the 21st birthday!).
Hoping to get at least 1 LO created this weekend - at least its not raining here atm!
So thanks for looking, take care, Hearts'n'HUGE hugs xxx Mazz :)

"Livin' On The Edge"

..."Livin' On The Edge"...
..."Livin' On The Edge"... is the title of the rock song, by heavy rock band Aerosmith.

The song was the inspiration for the title, and for the Scrap That Song July 'rock song' challenge
The LO is based on DS's facebook cover page and his photo taken at "Splurge" an all age music festival in NZ, in July 2011.
The quote on his facebook cover says "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but to skid in sideways totally worn out, shouting "Holy S*ht...What a Ride!!!"
If you knew my DS#2, you would understand that this 'grunge style is totally him - 'unique' LOL.

The actual LO was inspired by the very first MONTHLY sketch challenge over at My2Angels:

Criteria, besides using the sketch as a starting point, is to use My2Angels' products in the LO. I've used a couple of the My2Angels' July new arrivals - the Kaiser "Attitude" range of pps

which I totally LOVE...its not too often that a really great range of boys pps actually arrive.  Another "newby" to the shop is 'Stampendous' shabby white embossing enamel on the background:

So far that's all I have achieved in the way of my own inspired LO's in July...I do have some LO's to share, that I've been creating in classes - which I've been able to attend as I've been working part time YAHOO !!! Hopefully I will get a chance (soon) to upload.

Until then, thanks so much for popping in and looking - have a great weekend - heaps of hearts'n'hugs  Mazz xxx

My fairy

Your fairy is called Columbine Goblinglitter
She is a bringer of riches and wealth.
She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows.
She is only seen in the light of a shooting star.
She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.
