Great-Great-Grandparents circa 1925

Oh My Goodness….half a year already gone….where did that time go? Back to study for me next week so not too much ‘extracurricular’ crafting for a while – that’s the hard part BUT I'm excited because I'm helping to celebrate the 1st challenge over at Sketchy Boards,   I was privileged to be asked by Heidi to be a guest designer for Sketchy Boards challenges – they have monthly challenges using a sketch and colour inspiration board or picture.

Here’s the beautiful mood picture and the sketch that Heidi sent me to work with…

I took my inspiration predominantly from the trees which symbolize life and longevity – definitely the case in my ancestry :) And the gorgeous ‘vintage’ brown and teal colours inspired me to choose this photo taken in the early 1920’s, of my paternal great-great-grandparents,
 Last week, I was lucky enough to locate another one of my second cousins (in the U.K.) - who kindly sent me this photo and a few others that I haven’t seen before.
Supplies used:
 Bazzil cardstock; Kaisercraft (sweet nothings collection) & stash pp; my2angels fence, bird nest, flying bird charm, leaves and petite sentiment frame;
Kaiser flowers and collectables; Prima canvas flourish, resin birds and flowers; Paper Pizzaz, Sandylion & Adornit Coralees Creations alpha(burlap rust) stickers;

 Scrapping Outback Lindy's Stamp Gang (LSG) mist (Steampunk Sepia) & Fabrico pen; Sepia ink; Helmar scrap dots & 450 quick dry adhesives; Crackle accents; Martha Stewart punch; the Trinket Track cork bird; lace; Words or Whatever (WOW) Altamatz.
Thanks for popping over today, special thanks to Heidi and the team for inviting me to be their guest – what an inspiring challenge J

Cherish these MOMENTS & June/July ATC

...always and forever...
OMGoodness…it’s an all PINK Layout!!!  I just couldn’t help myself after I took this photo during a surprise visit to my2angels studio and yes!!! Tracy agreed to let me use the photo in the LO - just in time for Scrapping Outback’s June challenge, which is:
To create a layout using any 7Dots Studio products available at Scrapping Outback + at least 2 x chipboard pieces!
 So…here are the gorgeous Mother angel? & stunning daughter “angel” - I just love their smiles!!!  Did I mention that PINK is Tracy’s favourite colour?
I started off the LO by enhancing the existing brick feature – by adding more ‘brick' shapes with The Crafter’s Workshop brick stencil and Claudine Hellmuth Studio multi-medium. I then coloured the bricks with homemade mist and created from there.
Inspiration also came from the talented Rachelle Minett :)

Supplies used:
SO 7 Dots Studio pps (Messy Head – love letter & news flash), stickers (all I ever) and alpha stickers (raspberry Muffin) ; TJ's Memory Box die (Findlay frame); Prima jewels & flowers, TCW brick stencil; Kaiser & Kaszazz stamps, Stampin’ Up! & Stampendous aged embossing powders; Versa Magic (pink petunia); home made mist; Claudine Hellmuth Studio multi-medium (matte); 7 Gypsies rubons; Couture Creations double sided tape; Papaya art stickers; A2Z Scraplets c/b title;
 my2angels’ liquid pearls (petal pink), fabric dress form, arrow charms & fabric flowers; Mazz’s stash; Dusty Attic c/b clock; Helmar 450 quick dry glue.

Childhood ATC’s

I’m also sharing these ATC’s created for the Ideal ATC Swap Group. The June/ July 2014 swap criteria is to use ink anywhere and theme is ‘childhood’.  Watch out for the August swap if you’d like to join in.
My childhood memories include riding my tricycle and dreaming about being among stars and rainbows LOL.
 Supplies used:
Inksentials ATC cardstock, Sassafras pp, Heidi Swap template, Brilliance inks (sky blue & red); Tim Holtz Distress Paint (sage green) & chit-chat stickers; Scrapping Outback Pink Paislee Stamp (butterfly garden); my2angels stars, Helmar 450 quick dry glue.

 Thanks for visiting today. Have a great week ahead… hugs & hearts xxx Mazz xxx

NOOSA ENDURO

There seem to be quite a few ‘larger’ photos in my photo stash collection, so when I saw the June challenge at Scrap the Boys is to use a photo larger than 6x4” I jumped at the chance.
So here’s my interpretation.
 I like the larger photos simply because you can usually see the subjects more clearly.

This photo was taken in Noosa (obviously) which is on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, just after dlh and his mate finished their long mountain bike excursion.

“NOOSA ENDURO”

 Oh and btw “veteran’ is for anyone over 39yo LOL.

The background pp I’ve used is pretty old, but I was saving it for such a LO – depicting bicycle chains J

Supplies used:
Kraft c/s; Fabscraps (travel time) ;and The Paper Loft (Dude, crazy) pps; Tim Holtz Distress stain (rusty hinge and vintage photo); Idea-ology Swivel Clasps; the Crafters Workshop templates (gears & specimen); Ranger Archival Ink (Sepia); tag, mesh, button, chain & c/b cogs from stash; Prima Chipboard elements; my2angels ball & chain, cogs & charms (hammer, wrench, bicycle & no. 9) & ribbon; Karen Foster Design stickers; Marg’s flair button; Viva Ferro (Copper); Helmar 450 adhesive and foam mounting tape.

Thank you for popping over today until next time, hugs ‘n’ hearts, Mazz xxx

My fairy

Your fairy is called Columbine Goblinglitter
She is a bringer of riches and wealth.
She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows.
She is only seen in the light of a shooting star.
She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.
