totally cute...

Hi all, I realise it's very late and I think this entry will only just make the time limit, however, I started this LO on the weekend and I was determined to get it finished in time!!!
I took this photo of a cute little Tasmanian Bettong when on holiday in Tasmania during Christmas 2013.
When I saw the August Dusty Attic (DA) inspiration board challenge, with the gorgeous Autumn colours, I jumped at the chance to scrap it - using the beautiful Couture Creations papers along with an EK Success punch, representing the natural rustic feel in the LO.

I started off by 'experimenting' to see what would happen when I used the Dusty Attic chipboard trellis as a stencil; rubbing over it with glass bead glitter gel with a finger violet Inka-Gold...I thought it just a little too much for my photo so toned down with a dabber of mustard seed distress paint. I then added some shabby muslin coloured with Lindy's Stamp Gang (LSG) Moon shadow Mist.

To draw attention to of the cute little guy hiding in the pipe, and attempting to represent the dry rustic nature of the enclosure, I snipped around the #DA0821 chipboard, coloured it with Rusty Brown ink and adhered the edging to the photo.

***NB*** Unfortunately the place I buy most of my supplies (Scrapping Outback)  owner and talented Rachelle is having huge issues with the SO website at the moment so I wasn't able to get the links...so if you'd like ANY of the supplies I've used, please contact  Rachelle via Facebook.  TIA.

Supplies:
Dusty Attic chipboard (Marrakesh Trellis small)
Dusty Attic chipboard title (totally cute) Page Pebbles#3

LSG Moon Shadow Mist (Blue-Beard Blue-Violet)
Tim Holtz Distress Paint (mustard seed)
Couture Creations papers (Hearts Ease & Vintage Rose Garden collections)
Faber Castell Glass Bead Glitter Gel
Viva Inka-Gold (violet)
StazOn Ink (Rusty Brown)
my2angels square filigree
Washi Tape
...finally... LOL...
here's the WHOLE page...Unfortunately the flash on my camera hasn't really done the whole LO justice, so hopefully I'll get a better one during the daylight tomorrow :)
totally cute

Capturing the MOMENT

Today I created for fun! and joined 2 challenges to help me along!
I purchased this photo of my younger  son, hugging the bride at a wedding in Rarotonga in 2011 and I've been going to scrap it ever since!!!

So ...with the assistance of the gorgeous August Stuck! sketch above, together with the challenging 'custard' colour over at White With 1, here's what I came up with:

Capturing the MOMENT
I just adore the expression of friendship and fun captured in the photograph taken by Williams Photography NZ - actually I've only ever seen amazing photography by the talented artists, husband and wife team Warren + Katrina Williams :)

Supplies:

So time to go get some 'chores' done :(  Thanks so much for  taking your time to pop over today...till next time... hugs 'n' hearts... xxxMazzxxx

CHERISH Yesterday dream tomorrow LIVE today

CHERISH Yesterday  dream tomorrow  LIVE TODAY

I'm guessing you're surprised I'm back SO soon!!

As I mentioned in my last post, I loved the prompt so much that I just couldn't resist creating a canvas as well for August Scrapping Outback (aka SO) White with a Twist Challenge DT inspiration ;)

***NB*** Unfortunately SO owner and talented Rachelle is having huge issues with the SO website at the moment so I wasn't able to get the links...so if you'd like ANY of the supplies I've used, please contact  Rachelle via Facebook.  TIA.

Supplies:
Acrylic paints; Art Basics Gesso and Modelling paste; Scrap FX chipboard (cloud and title); Prima Marketing Butterflies; The Crafter's Workshop Stencils.
My canvas was also inspired by a new skill I'm slowly learning called 'Mindfulness" which I have recently discovered and begun practising.  So far Mindfulness / meditation, is certainly helping me to relax easier and appreciate the 'here and now'; accept the past and not worry (so much) about the future :)

As a bit of 'fun'' my dlh came up with this amusing cat quote LOL

Until next time, friends, have a great week ahead... hearts 'n' hugs xxx Mazz xxx

Lest We Forget

Lest We Forget
Surprise!! I'm BACK from being Missing In Action (MIA) and hopefully my mojo is also back 'IA' too!!

First off - if you haven't seen all my Unfinished Creations (UFCs) completed over the last couple of months...then please feel free to take a look over at some of my albums on Facebook: Scrapping Outback, my2angels and Scrapping 2015.  The time taken to complete these has certainly paid off - not only de-cluttered the shelves in my room - also my head LOL
I  created "Lest We Forget" this LO for June's White With a Twist challenge for Scrapping Outback DT inspiration - better late then never as I mentioned in my last post!!  Doesn't this mint-choc shake look simply delish :)
The LO Photo was taken of my Dad at Ardmore Shooting Range, near the Papakura Military Camp in 1954.
I've used quite a few elements that I've found in my stash; including he "Lest We Forget" title card was packaging from a poppy I bought for ANZAC day. The fabulous faux medal was made by my scrapping friend Cassandra for a swap ages ago.
Supplies:
Until next time, have a great weekend ahead ;)  Hug 'n' hearts xxx Mazz xxx

My fairy

Your fairy is called Columbine Goblinglitter
She is a bringer of riches and wealth.
She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows.
She is only seen in the light of a shooting star.
She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.
