celebrate SPECIAL memories together

Greetings to all :)

At a recent retreat weekend, I decided to take up Tracey's challenge over at A2Z Scraplets this month:
  • At least 2 Winter pictures on your page
  • Texture paste
  • A hint of red
  • And some recycled aluminium

The photos are of DLH and myself last winter :) The chipboard naturally is A2Z Scraplets 'cut up'.
the white 'splashes' are Plaid Magic Texture paste. I cut up a coke can to make the banner then used my Versa mark pen and Stampendous Aged Embossing Enamel (Scarlett) to create the title.  Pretty sure that covers the criteria...how say ye??

Hey tomorrow's Friday and THAT is the day the BLOG HOP starts over at Scrapping Outback so be sure to take a look...
I've already seen some of the awesome prizes well worth the HOP !!!

little miss

Greetings from the land of the living LOL  I've been working, working, sleeping and hard of hearing of late, so sorry have been MIA.  Just a quick post today, as I don't think a tiny photo on the Scrapbooking  Top 50 Australia website does the LO of my DGD  justice.

It's Scraplift Madness over there this month and I've finally got the LO (left) by the talented, gorgeous Chloe Nielson 'lifted'  LOL.

Anyway, here's my take:

I just adore the LO design and  I've used The Crafter's Workshop Chevron stencil that I also love.  The photo was taken by my DS at a huge fun theme park in NZ, called  "Rainbow's end". We all had a wonderful time, so I've tried to portray in my 'rainbow' themed  LO.

I've used glimmer mists for the background and I took the Little Yellow Bicycle (pretty in plaid) paper from a recent DT kit over at Scrapping Outback, added a few homemade flowers from A little somethin' and TLC crafts, along with a felt chevron from Rainbow Splendour.

The colourful ( hidden above the flowers) rainbow was made by the creative talented Sam I Am over at EYE CANDY MAGIC.... I'm really happy with the 'fun' result and naturally the memory of my DGD being rather silly and extremely happy :) on that day LOL.

Here's to a great long weekend, TFL all, hugs 'n' hearts xxx Mazz xxx

It’s the little things

Today you are you- that is truer than true; there is no one alive who is youer than you” – Dr. Seuss.
These photos are of a cyber/scrapper friend who simply adores Dr.Seuss and while in NZ a few years ago, I sent her this “Cat in the Hat” soft toy.
At the time I asked her to take these photos so ‘one day’ I would scrap them.  Anyways, Sam’s blog inspired me when pondering the ‘black, red & white’ criteria for “Sarah’s After 5” challenge over at Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia’s May Life in full Colour Cyber Crop and I’m hoping Sam will be as happy as I am with the result.

Supplies used:
Rachelle Minett designs chipboard title; Bo Bunny (enchanted) and Bella Boulevard (the littlest things) pps; Bazzil cardstock; Prima vintage trinket; Cat in the Hat ribbon; Lizyjose on Zibbett bling trim; Want 2 scrap flourish; EK Success punches; Kaiser & Manor House Creations flowers; Dylusions stencil; Glimmer mist (lobster); Momento (lady bug), Adirondack (earthtones) & VersaMark Dazzle (champagne) inks; red pearl and black Utee; Helmar adhesives; staples; black gel pen
Thanks so much again for popping over here....have a great week, huge hearts 'n' hugs Mazz xxx

Mini Olympics

You’re a star – Robin Summer 1988/9 Vacation Care, Waverley Public School NSW
Some of you may have seen this on face book when it was just a ‘base’ using (believe it or not lol) Pink Paislee Secret Crush paper.

The background alpha is made from a Dylusions stencil and Jo Sonja’s’ paints.

It was so bold and funky I just had to white wash it with watered-down (Kaiser) white paint, so the photo didn’t just fade away.
Anyways, I decided on the black c/stock dry embossed with a bricks template.  The remainder is made from ‘stash’ items – including the “you’re a star” dye from Lizzy Hill and the gorgeous blue and brown layered star (top left) from Cassandra Highet in the same swap.

I’ve created this LO for the “MayLife In Full Colour Cyber Crop” over at  Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia “Kids at play”challenge. The photo is of a group of 5/6 year olds, including DS ‘aka Blue’ during his summer Vacation care 1988/9.
Naturally I’ve been meaning to scrap this, among 1000’s of other old ones, for ages, and I’m this challenge seemed the right one – especially as it has both the “ABC” and the “123” criteria in addition to the four colours - red, blue, green & yellow.

I chose this challenge first out of the four because its being sponsored by my ‘home away from home’ aka Scrapping Outback.  They have such an awesome, versatile range of supplies I just couldn’t resist the chance to win some (more) for free LOL.

Supplies used:

PinkPaislee (♥ notes) & Simple Stories papers; GlimmerMist (Walnut gold); Kaiser and Echo Park dyes; my2angels & Rainbow splendour stars; Brilliance inks (rocket red, lime, sunflower yellow); misc. chipboard c/b stars, cogs & alpha title; Helmar adhesives.

Its back to work for me tomorrow after a week in bed with 'flu :(    Well at least I got thinking even if I didn't get much crafting LOL.  I'm looking forward to sharing more with you later in the week.

My fairy

Your fairy is called Columbine Goblinglitter
She is a bringer of riches and wealth.
She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows.
She is only seen in the light of a shooting star.
She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.
