EVA 1929

Short share today…this is a LO of my maternal Grandma that I created last week with the gorgeous talented (I want to say wicked in a nice way too LOL) Tracy in a fabulous class at My2Angels on the Gold Coast….what an absolutely fantastic time of friendship and fun, as well as learning the new techniques of vintage slat windows, distressing, painting c/b fence and layering flowers and charms…. I just love the end result.  You can get all the products used in my LO from My2Angels – and I have to say this is my idea of incredibly reasonable prices (especially the charms and hand made embellishments)!!!!!!!!!!!! As usual, more close-ups below :)

I’ve just spent my first week back in the ‘full time’ work force, after 18 months break, so I’m exhausted! Anyways, I’m hoping to still fit some scrapbooking – workshops and challenges - into my busy schedule.  Being gone from home from 6.30am to 6.30pm five days is really hard.   Luckily I travel by train so I am able to get some reading time in too…I’m not a great reader but I do enjoy reading fiction crime stories. Currently I’m reading “Hurting Distance” by Sophie Hannah. Does anyone else out there know her?  Have a great weekend all, hugs Mazz xxx

She is....

She is…

...Geli…When I saw this Dusty Attic c/b title I bought two of them without any hesitation…first one for a LO of Geli and the second one will be a surprise for the future J J   Believe it or not, this was the first impression I got of Geli, my friend, when I met her first time at her home for a scrapbooking class.  It just seems to me that (even when she says she’s stressed) Geli is at peace with herself, her family life and the everyday decisions she makes. I’ve found Geli to be patient and encouraging and I don’t remember her having a really anything ‘really’ bad to say either.  You will also notice the little heart charm from my very old stash, with the word inspiration, because Geli inspires me with all her wonderful Lo’s, colours, designs and ideas.  You just have to look at her ColourBlast! Blog to realise she is a talented crafter and finds beauty in all things. There are also some wee hearts in the top flower centre J As usual there are ‘closies’ at the beneath this post.

I’ve created this LO for the following 2 challenges:
·         The Boxx – fortnight challenge. 10 OCT-23OCT it’s a colour challenge...PINK & BLACK... {And you can add a smidgin of ONE other colour...} but...that’s not all... you also have to use..... the title....SHE IS” - my ‘smidgin’ is white.
·         Dusty Attic – October Sketch challenge – I’ve turned the sketch onto its side. The flowers are my ‘circles’ on the sketch.

Supplies:
·         Pps: Die Cuts With a View (pink background); MME Lush collection (Black Finch flocking pp)
·         Flowers: TLC Crafts (bottom left); Eye Candy Magic (top right)
·         Alphas: Webster’s (she is); Adorn It (who); Dusty Attic c/b (title)
·         Adhesives: Helmar (V2, Super-Tac and 3D liquid scrap dots)
·         Other: fibres, charm unknown
A severe storm warning has just been issued for SE Queensland, so I’d better sign out now and go to my yoga class instead, till next time…”happy scrappin’” xxx

(don't you know you're) Beautiful

This gorgeous photo was taken by my older son’s partner, of my beautiful son and my beautiful granddaughter (in my totally biased opinionLOL) at Puriri Bay New Zealand January 2009 while on camping holiday – so who wouldn’t be smiling and happy?  And I couldn’t think of a better title than from the lyrics of “Beautiful People” by Chris Brown…one of the (hard to chose from) titles over at Scrap that Song the month.   As usual you my find 'closies' at the bottom of this post ")
This LO is created for the following challenges:

Supplies:
Pps & ‘smile’ sticker: Crate Paper (Paper Doll Collection);
Dies: My Minds Eye and Making Memories;
Chipboard: Dusty Attic (Doily), Basic Grey Wilma (alpha title);
Other: My2Angels charms, Adornit alpha (tiny pink), Helmar adhesives (professional, V2 and 450 quick dry); Versacolor ink (turquoise) Stamp-It embossing powder (clear & enamelware); twine: Eye Candy Magic; paua shell pieces (top right)     TFL all xxx

CELEBRATE (Lee’s 21st)

CELEBRATE (Lee’s 21st)
Good afternoon, you’d never believe how awesome is this beautiful spring day…such a contrast to yesterday with electrical storm and rain all day …I’ve created this LO for the following 4 challenges:
For me, it makes a nice change to be scrapping something ‘recent’ as 4th June 2011 – as you probably know I don’t usually get my photos printed that quickly and/or I’m working on projects (usually gifts)…so here he is my gorgeous 21 yr old -always by baby- oh, and yes Lee dyed his hair fluorescent green specially for the occasion LOL – I guess I wouldn’t expect much less since the time before when I was in NZ my hair was purple LOL.  The party celebration was a huge success with both all sides of the family attending at Valentines. The cake was made and decorated by my older son and his partner so what an awesome talented couple they make too.  The white car is a replica of Lee’s own JZX.

Supplies:
Dyes: LYB and as above
Helmar adhesives (professional, V2 and 450 quick dry)
Other: 7 gypsies ATC words, ribbon (LYB and “Kiwi’ unknown)
C/B alphas unknown
Ink: Colorbox MicaMagic (copper)

Off to make our lazy Sunday dinner – “bangers & mash” with salad” – have a great week all, TFL xxx

My fairy

Your fairy is called Columbine Goblinglitter
She is a bringer of riches and wealth.
She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows.
She is only seen in the light of a shooting star.
She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.
