RAROTONGA

...Rarotonga...
This LO is of my younger DS at the "whatever!" Bar in Rarotonga, when he was at a wedding there last year.
Obviously having a heap of fun and laughs ....
Lucky for me...it was wonderfully sunny and not windy outside today, so DH was able to leave the house to visit mates, fly or whatever, and leave me at home to get this 'last minute' LO done for these June challenges:

Supplies used:
Pps and alpha stickers: Kaisercraft (Attitude! Collection); Twiddleybitz c/b (Gate with Lamp Post, GAT005); Mazz's hand made and Spellbinders flower die; Tim Holtz Idea-ology Film strip ribbon; Daisyd's rubons; VersaMagic (Spenish olive) ink; My2Angels black & white twine, "mates" ribbon, Celebrate pin and passport charm

I hope you're all having a great weekend, enjoying the 'rare' sunshine in our winter...till next month (lol)...hearts'n'hugs Mazz xxxxxxx

more of Geli's Magic...

..."Adore"...
...Tonight I really just wanted to share two Lo's that I have managed to fit in over the last month or so, that I created at Geli's classes....oh yes I have been very fortunate that I didnt have to pay for them - due to some very lovely, generous people out there - playing it forward xxx xxx
"Dorrigo"
First up is "Dorrigo" which is where DH & I spent our Christmas 2011...the most amazing place on earth. Dorrigo National Park (hinterland near Coffs Harbour, NSW) has the most picturesque, breathtaking waterfalls, bush walks and views...you have to watch out for the leeches though !! they kind of 'sneak' up on you when you're least expecting them (that's a story and Lo for another day) LOL. I would also mention here that  I used is Echo Park "trick or treat", which just goes to show that you dont have to use pp for the intended theme :)
If you click HERE you will be able to see Geli's class example that inspired my LO.

The best part was using the texture paste - can you see the little birds on leaves in mine?  You can see the flower - made from coloured twill and MME brad. There's paper 'rolling' and the baker's twine from My2Angels.

And then there's my favourite LO for June...."Adore" showing off my older precious grandaughter adoring my gorgeous grandson. ( I know biased Nana LOL)

I just love the "Sweet Nothings" Kaiser pp and the way the Martha Stewart laatice-heart punch (for the girly) and the gold cogs (for the boy) all co-ordinate for the 'sweetness' of the LO.  The part I loved most about the class was using the oven-baked clay mold - coloured with glimmer mist -
you can see the little flower (corner of the right hand side of the paper rolling) and the wee frame (that I have adhered to the gold charm).

You can of course see Geli's "Gorgeousity" LO if you click right HERE.

If you're lovin' what you see and you'd like to learn how, just contact Geli via here blog and give it a go!! you'll always wonder why you didnt if you dont LOL .

BTW I started a 3 week contract today working on the Gold Coast - this is my first lot of  'real' work since December and so far I'm enjoying this little bit of independence again...and of course hopefully catch up on some bills...Hugs'n'hearts till next time Mazz xxx

tramping the Pinnacles...

Hello hello everyone! long time no see LOL...yes this is the first LO I have created for myself, not in a class, in about a month and yes I think I'd 'lost my mojo' for a while but I decided to give myself a bit of a break and have a go today. I'm pretty happy with the result, combining 3 challenges :)
The photos were taken when DH took DS, nephew, BIL and family friends "tramping" (aka bushwalking) in the Pinnacles, on the beautiful Coromandel Peninsular in NZ. They stayed over night and slept in the Hut. When DH & I went about a year earlier I had a few 'knee' issues so decided not to go this time.  DS still considered the trip a great "holiday" LOL...
Supplies:
pps: Kaszazz (still trying to use old stash) and Bo Bunny; c/s: Bazzill (white); TCW template (cherry blossom); Twiddleybitz c/b 'skeleton small tree' (TRE007); My2Angels tree charm; Kaiser mini envelope (contains the ticket receipts for the Pinnacles hut); cuttlebug die cuts; Martha Stewart edge punch; Tim Holtz distress ink (salty ocean); Bo Bunny combo alpha stickers (Et Cetera); Helmar 450 quick dry adhesive; Couture Creations double sided tape; Purple Pumpkin buttons; Handmade by Mazz flowers.

please click on THIS LINK if you'd like to look at my 'handmade by Mazz' items (greetings cards and paper flowers) for sale.  Thanks so much for popping by today.  Hope you're having a great week - Hugs'n'hearts - Mazz xxxx

My fairy

Your fairy is called Columbine Goblinglitter
She is a bringer of riches and wealth.
She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows.
She is only seen in the light of a shooting star.
She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.
