Shyla - eating chocolate - Easter 2008

Have you seen the newly renovated Scrapping Outback site yet? Its fantastic! And to celebrate, they not only have 20% off all orders for the rest of this month; they also have this fantastic Page Drafts sketch challenge:
This LO is one of my DGD eating chocolate – oh what a cheeky monkey she was IS LOL.
The wonderful thing about Scrapping Outback’s new look is of course all their new arrivals and simply STUNNING ranges of pps.

For this LO I’ve used the stunning new PION designs pps. I just love these ‘vintage, shabby chic’ pps – so my style ;)
And I love that I’ve used so many different textures and mediums and I can still see the pp and the ‘original’ colours.

You may notice that I’ve used my friend Jules’ clay flowers and some ‘steam punk’  Twiddleybitz chipboard and alpha as well as some elegant my2angels rose charming chains, filigrees and pin.  I just cant get enough of it all !

Have a great week everyone, I’m having a 3 day workweek as I have 2 TOIL (time off in lieu) days off yippee, Time Out Tuesday at my2angels tomorrow. Hugs’n’hearts  Mazz xxx

(what ever the weather, we're better) TOGETHER

This is one of my new favourite photos of DS and his adorable kids
I just loved the new flair buttons over at Purple Pumpkin – so much that I couldn’t resist using them on Purple Pumpkin’s April sketch challenge on my LO.
Then I couldn’t choose which one so I decided to use the three of them – hence the inspiration for the title… from the line in the lyrics from “How about us” by the Saturdays.

The paper and cardstock are part of Scrapping Outback’s March kit.  I’ve used ‘leftover’ Twiddleybitz c/b square alpha for the title – but don’t look too closely coz I’d run out of E’s and R’s…they’re not a bad match are they? LOL
I used a crafter’s workshop alpha stencil and texture paste to make them.
Supplies used:

Purple Pumpkin flair buttons & lace flower; Little Yellow Bicycle pps (hello spring); Bazzil c/s; Cosmo Cricket alpha stickers; Glimmer Mist (Bash); TCW stencils; Silks acrylic glaze (cinnamon brown); Twiddleybitz c/b square alpha & mirror butterflies;
Plaid texture paste; Helmar adhesives; my2angels heart locket charm, pearl spray & birds nest; EK success & Martha Stewart edge punches; wool; Tim Holtz Distress markers.

Thanks for looking all…I’m off to an all day mixed media class at my2angels tomorrow, so hope you all have as much fun as I know I will J J

My fairy

Your fairy is called Columbine Goblinglitter
She is a bringer of riches and wealth.
She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows.
She is only seen in the light of a shooting star.
She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.
