Biggles my HERO

I had a small amount of time left at the end of this month, so I decided to create this LO for the Kaisercraft February 2015 theme: “my hero” and dedicate it to my hero husband, Ian…aka Biggles ;)
For those who don’t know that Biggles is the shortened name for ‘James Bigglesworth’ who was a fictional character in the book named ‘Biggles’ by Captain W.E Johns and Biggles was a WW1 pilot of a Sopwith Camel bi-plane. Biggles was the hero in the storybook, as he is in my life.  Ian was given the nickname, based on his love of WW1 and vintage aircraft as well as passing is Private Pilots Licence (a long time ago)...nowadays we attend air shows together and he practises on his models.    The photo was taken on our Wedding day in Dec 2001, inside hangar at Kaipara Flats Airfield in NZ.      Ian has always been ‘there’ for me, accepted me as I am; and supported me through thick and thin. Ian is my BFF & my Soul mate.  TFL everyone, and thanks to the Kaisercraft team for this fun challenge.
 Supplies used:

My Mind’s Eye (Tiny World Stickers – the sweetest thing)
 s.e.i Puff Alpha stickers
EK Success & Martha Stewart punches
Helmar 450 Quick Dry adhesive

The little bronze bi-plane charm (below) is from my2angels – they’re not listed 4sale – so if you’d like a ‘spare’ 1 or 2 for 0.45c each, please message Tracy via the website or Facebook

Thanks for popping by today…watch out for March’s creations… hearts ‘n’ hugs xxx Mazz xxx

Delight - 2nd cousin, Summer

Welcome to February....and another Scrapping Outback colour inspiration Challenge!!!

This month Scrapping Outback DT want you to use White combined with the colours in this yummy looking cocktail.

So the challenge is: Create a layout inspired by ALL the colours in this photo and you MUST use at least one piece of chipboard. You must use WHITE combined with the colours above. You can use printed paper as long as these colours are the main focus of the paper. There can be other colours on the printed paper, but not too much to take away from the colours in the inspiration picture. You can use anything to create these colours like mists, inks or paints.  You can use a small amount of black/brown just for a little stamping, inking, journaling or just as a small accessory, however it is NOT to be the main focus of your layout. You can use as little or a lot of each colour, but every colour or shade of that colour in the picture MUST be used. You can use varied shades of the colours - it depends on the inspiration that you get from the picture.

So yet again, a pic I've had for ages that I've been waiting for 'just the right time'...this time a delightful photo of my 2nd cousin, Summer, taken by her Dad, my 1st cousin) ..
And here's my interpretation of the cocktail:

My fairy

Your fairy is called Columbine Goblinglitter
She is a bringer of riches and wealth.
She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows.
She is only seen in the light of a shooting star.
She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.
