Beautiful (Great Grandma Catherine Worthington)

Hi all,
Again I’ve kept my promise of revealing yet another LO I’ve managed to finish this month!  This LO is created for the Brisbane Scrapbook Group that I'm a member of - on Facebook.

Here’s this month’s sketch and inspiration - again been supplied by Heidi and I have to say I simply adored the colour combo and HAD to have a go!
The photo is of (one of) my paternal great grandma – Catherine Worthington. Catherine was my Dad's maternal grandma.  IMHO both my Dad, my no 1 DS, my no 2 GD and me all have that nose !! I also love the blouse & necklace she’s wearing in the photo – such elegance J

 Supplies used:

my2angels’ bronze round flower filigree, charming word (forever), charming pin, Prima felt leaves; fibre; 2am scrapper vintage ribbon; dry embossed vellum leaves; K& Co. stickers; FOUND item a 1916 'threepence' showing reign of King George V.

This w/e I will have to catch up on commitments to create ‘swaps and ATC’s’, so no Lo’s for a couple of weeks I’m afraid…BUT I do have a crop day in Lowood tomorrow, so hopefully will finish at least 1 of those many UFC’s …so…not too much socializing (yeah right !!!)

Until next time hugs ‘n’ hearts xxx Mazz xxx

love laugh dream

As promised yesterday, I’m able to share this LO created for 2 challenges - yes I understand I’m not in the running for prizes as I’ve decided to ‘double dip’ but I’d really like to show case my ‘growing way too fast’ DGS, taken in 2011.

DGS is nearly 4yo now and I’ve realised I’ve not created nearly enough Lo’s of him L

The criteria for May over at Scrap the Boys is “Let’s get GRUNGY/MESSY’” and I’m pretty sure I’ve much covered that one (red food colouring on fingers included) LOL

Scrapping Outback has a recipe challenge for May and the 4 ingredients must include:
1. Chipboard √ (title and leaves from Scrapping Outback)
2. Minimum 2 colours √ (red & green)
3. Masking √ (WOW Altamatz Doily from Scrapping Outback)
4. Flowers √ (Manor House Creations from Scrapping Outback)

Bazzil cardstock; Bo Bunny pps; Derivan Matisse Gesso & Gel Medium; Scrap Diva Designs Washi tapes; Scrapping Outback Prima lattice stencil, WOW stencil  and Flourish with a Bling (Jessie, cherry red) ; Rainbow splendour cork & foam leaves; Rachelle Minette Designs chipboard title & leaves; Vogue Manor House Creations flowers; my2angelsStampendous embossing powder (aged scarlet & aged green), light bulb charm & boy ribbon; Kaszazz boy vellum; Couture Creations double sided tape & feather die cut; red food colouring spritz; Momento ink (Lady bug); Heirloom gold Perfect pearls mist; Helmar 450 adhesive.

RevHead

RevHead Lee Left with Daigo Saito (right)

One of my long-time cyber friends, the lovely talented Lizzy Hill recently created an AMAZING LO for Off the Rails Scrapbooking DT, and since I’ve been in the mood lately to create ‘boy’ LO’s I decided to take part in their May challenge which is simply to use “chipboard" in the LO.  I really love creating with chipboard – especially since I learnt so much all those years ago at Chipboard High School with the DT over at Scrapping Outback.

I found this photo of my DS (left) on Facebook at a Drifting car meet – which inspired the paper choice and supplies.

Needless to say, DS is right into cars, well anything with motors actually and always has been as seen in last week’s LO…he also totally admires Daigo Saito, the Japanese professional drifting driver!  You can see the "beast drifter" right here: https://www.drifted.com/daigosaito-jzx100/

The Chipboard title ‘RevHead’ has been dry embossed in my Cuttlebug and covered with Viva Croco crackling (again)…its fun getting messy with this medium, although I can't imagine getting messy with the black grease and oil that DS does - LOL!
Supplies used:

Kaisercraft (On the move collection) papers, stickers and die cut; Martha Stewart edge punch; Scrap FX wordlets c/b (Rev Head) and Twiddleybitz c/b teeny cogs; my2angels’gear cogs, ball and chain, compass charm & Pennzoil embellishment; Couture Creations mesh die; TCW Punchinella mask; Viva Décor Ferro Metal Effect Graphite ; Washi tape; up-cycled Mitsubishi car key; Helmar adhesives.

Well, that's all for today, believe it or not, I DO HAVE ANOTHER LO for May that I hope to have up in the next couple of days so please watch this space !!  Thanks for popping over and until next time... Hugs 'n' hearts xxx Mazz xxx

Life at 6

Today I’m sharing the first of 3LO’s that I’ve managed to finish this weekend. This one is of my (now 23yo) DS aged 6. This DS was then, as he has always been and still is, crazy about motors of anything that has wheels, especially cars and bikes.

This LO is for this month’s MIXED MEDIA, sketch and mood board challenge over at Black with 2

The colours for May are black + light gray + slate gray and the word is “Life”.  I’ve used lots of media and texture on this LO – including embossing powder on the title.
The bracket is made with sparkly fluff from my stash. I’ve also upcycled some washers. The background is a ‘gears’ mask using crackle paste.

Supplies used:

Bazzil cardstock; Prima Say it in crystals (arrows & chevrons); Washi tapes;  Viva Croco crackling silver; Our Craft Lounge sparkly fluff; The Crafters Workshop gears template; my2angels cogs, charm and bike pin; charcoal & pinecone Versa Color inks; Plaid Dimensional magic; VersaMark dazzle ink.

Hopefully I’ll get the other LO’s posted later this week. Meanwhile, thanks for popping over to say Hi!!! Hugs ‘n’ hearts  Mazz  xxx

feeling GROOVY

Feeling GROOVY
Good evening all and happy mother's day to all the lovely mothers grandmothers and great grandmothers out there!

I have finally finished something that I can pop onto the blog to share ....

These are the ATC's that I've created for the Ideal Swap Group for the April/May 2014 swap. The theme is "It's my birthday" with criteria set at creating a background for the ATC and something that represents the year you were born.
Since I was born during the 1960's, you will see that I've elected to go a bit "retro' using 1960's colours - purple, lime green and orange.  I created the 'retro' flower background using a gorgeous stencil by Claudine Hellmuth.  In case you cant read the my2angels heart charm it says "You Rock and Roll" which I think is quite appropriate.

Even though I honestly didn't start out with any mojo, I eventually was inspired by the song "Feeling Groovy" (1966) by Simon and Garfunkel and I'm delighted with the final result.

Supplies:
Ranger Kraft ATC's; Claudine Hellmuth Wallflower stencilAutumn Leaves clear stamp; Viva Model crème - mother of pearl rose; Washi tapes; home-made orange mist; Zing embossing powder; Plaid Dimensional Magic; my2angels leaves and Rock and roll hearts; acetate; circle punch.

Thanks so much for popping over, I have loads of unfinished creations that I'm hoping to get working on and finishing to share ... watch this space!!  have a great week. Hearts and Hugs Mazz

My fairy

Your fairy is called Columbine Goblinglitter
She is a bringer of riches and wealth.
She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows.
She is only seen in the light of a shooting star.
She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.
