She Inspires Love

I have created this LO to showcase some of the latest Prima Marketing and WOW products that are available at Scrapping Outback NOW ;)

I took this photo of my unsuspecting ds at our family Christmas back in 2009.

The inspiration for the title is based on Angela's gentle personality, and all the love and support she is currently showing to her terminally ill mother-in-law.

Sparkling Snowflakes

The theme for August/September at Ideal ATC Swap group is "Sparkling Snowflakes".

It's cold today in Beenleigh/Brisbane/all over Queensland...
Angela (the group co-ordinator) is looking for a winter themed ATC. It can reflect anything to do with cooler climates, winter in general or even 'cool' colours. We may interpret this criteria anyway we like but the ATC must include: Something representing coolness, and Shimmer or sparkles somewhere on the ATC.
Even thought I didn't have to create an ATC with just snowflakes, in fact I didn't have to have any snowflakes on my ATC at all, I decided to go ahead with that idea anyways...

Supplies

ATC Manilla cardstock; Cuttle Bug & snowflake embossing folder; Viva Modelling Crème (Mother of Pearl); Stampendous (shaved ice); my2angels snowflake charms; my2angels Diamond Dust; Tattered Angels chalkboard (concord), Perfect Pearls (blue raspberry) and Lindy’s Stamp Gang Moon Shadow Mist (bluebeard blue-violet); Washi tape; vellum; Martha Stewart butterfly punch; Helmar 450 quick dry adhesive.

Love YOU and some ###NEWS###

****Wahoo ***** How exciting!!! To say I am thrilled to bits to be starting Scrapping Outback as a Design Team member is an understatement! I’m delighted because, as most of you are already aware, Scrapping Outback has been my ‘home away from home’ since I started scrapbooking and attending classes in Mt. Cotton in 2003. Rachelle Minette is the talented owner who started “SO”

Rachelle is a renowned Scrap-booker and artist, including a successful Scrapbooking Memories Master in 2005. I’m totally honoured to have been chosen to work alongside the other amazing talented artists in the 2014-2015 DT – thanks to Rachelle and her amazing DT for selecting my work. So without further ado, I would like to share my first duty as DT – to inspire you in

Scrapping Outback’s August 2014 challenge “White with a Twist”

You can use either white cardstock with the added ‘twist colours’ or you can use printed paper with white and the twisted colours. The main idea is to ensure that white is incorporated with the ‘twisted colours’. You many add brown or black for journaling, stamping or finer detail work but they are not to be used as a main colour.

For my inspiration LO, I thought I only had scallop black Manor House frames left in my stash, so I had to turn it green.

So I covered it first with white gesso and then the Extreme glitter over the top. I also covered all the chipboard pieces with gesso before embossing.

Then I discovered I didn’t have enough texture paste left to cover the page, so I mixed the white texture paste with some acrylic paint to make it go further:
