(Steve loves 2) SK8

Hello lovely people…I have wanted to scrap the photo on the left (my brother then age 17, sharing roller skates with my son then age about 3) for ages.  When I caught Steve skateboarding with his son during a visit in June, I just knew I would have to scrap these pics!!!

I’ve created this LO for the following challenges:
  • The Emerald Faeries #10 – “punches/dies” (do you see Boo nestled among the embellishments?)  This gave me a great opportunity to use my Tim Holtz Gadget Gears die. The fabric gear is from Eye Candy Magic.  I’ve also used my Martha Stewart circle edge puncher to keep the ‘circle’ look.
  • Scrap the Boys – “handmade boy embellishments” either made by me or someone else. I’ve made the cogs with the die; I also made the 'net' at the bottom out of some amazing "ruffle yarn" I found at Lincraft last weekend. the 2 pins “warning” and “the skater boy” are from my2angels; The bottle caps are hand made by Susan at A Lil Something (star) and Shell over at Lil’ Red Rocket (Mr Men).
  • Scrapping Outback’s October sketch  – set by Jo. Looking at the LO now it doesn’t seem to look like the original – but I’ve stretched it and used the left hand side instead of the right J

I created the Chipboard title using one of Rachelle Minette’s amazing designs and I used the ‘metal look’ that I learnt during SO’s chip board high school a couple of years ago. YOU can find the tute here:

I should also mention that the pps are from the ROBOT range of Best Creations Inc. that I won at a recent SO competition. (yay) and I've used all Helmar adhesives :)

bon appétit

Gidday lovelies… I just realised yesterday that its October already…just over 2 months till Christmas season again….OMG where does the time go? And all those promises of “one day I’ll get a round to it”?  The LO I’m sharing today is for the following challenges:

The photo was taken on a peaceful weekend retreat on the Gold Coast Hinterland, circa (early) 2005.

As the chef is French, we decided to take our bottle of French champagne with us, given to us in December 2001, for a wedding present.

Supplies used:
  • pps: Prima (Madeline Collection)
  • Cardstock: Bazzill
  • ATC: Sue/Purple Poppy (“Love” red heart card)
  • Stamps: Prima (edge floral) and Kaszzaz (Paris Eiffel Tower)
  • Chipboard: ScrapMatts (oval frame and flourish)
  • Branches die cut & butterfly charm: October My2angels embellishment
  • Flower/lollipop & button: Purple Pumpkin
  • Edge punch: Martha Stewart
  • Ink: Tim Holtz (stickles and Distress Stains), Crafter’s (Alpine)
  • Other: Helmar adhesives (450 quick dry, super-tac glue, liquid scrap dots), Kinder Glitz, heart pin, jelly word (forever), Tombow pen (847), K & Company journal block & stickers, Basic Grey & bead alphas from stash
I've had a blissful weekend, a mixture of scrapping, cooking, eating out with DH and watching funny movies "Rio" and "Diary of a Whimpy kid 2" , so here's hoping for a successful week for us all x

My fairy

Your fairy is called Columbine Goblinglitter
She is a bringer of riches and wealth.
She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows.
She is only seen in the light of a shooting star.
She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.
