Hi everyone...I'ts been a devastating weekend here in Brisbane - due to the heavy rain and loud howling winds - causing creeks and rivers to burst and some flash flooding. Our home has been without power for about 48 hours and I must admit I've been lost without it! My heart goes out to anyone who has been affected (with inundation and worse) by this nasty weather.
Today I'm sharing one of the Lay Outs I managed to finish - even in the midst of the storms :) This is for the January challenge over at Scrap for Help and here is the brief:
The photos are of my DGD's first day at Primary School. In NZ the children start (big) school on their 5th birthday. The photos were given to me by her proud dad (my ds) during my last visit to NZ.
As DGD's birthday was during the summer holidays, naturally she started on the first day of the school year. I had heaps of fun with tusing this Kaiser pp "Class Act" range, the colours are perfect to match school uniforms in both Australia & NZ :)
I've circled the date with the string, which was 'blue tacked' to the classroom blackboard. I've used both Kaiser pp and 'a little something fabric' for the rulers in the middle of the LO.
I've add the cute my2angels little graduation cap and world globe charms, which I've added with string. I've also attached the 'school' flags with string. I cut the flags out of the pp and spread Glossy Accents over for dimension.
Thanks for looking everyone..stay dry and safe...hugs'n'hearts xxx Mazz zzz

What an adorable layout! I just bought some of that Kaisercraft paper too--I can see why you like it.
I like how you made the banner go sideways on your page--a new twist on this trend. Thanks for joining us at Scrap for Help!
