I was inspired to create this LO by the criteria for 'detour 2' over at Scrapbooking Top 50 Amazing Race: "Following your trip to Antarctica, you travel to a mystery a foreign country and
you don't know the language! Scrap a layout or a 3 card set with a foreign word
in the title or subtitle to get you back in the race. Eg Amore" and YOU should see the samples the DT have provided - just gorgeous :)
I sorted through DH's trip to his mother's the Nethcountry of birth - the Netherlands and came up with this. Luckily I bought the windmill die at the Brisbane show in June :)
The Dutch quote is "de molen gaat niet om met wind die voor is" and literally translated means: "The windmill doesn't care about the wind that came before" .
I'm sure just as guilty as the next person, for worrying about some past mistakes LOL, so that's why I chose this one.
Supplies used:
Kraft cardstock (Bazzill); The Crafter's Workshop templates (brick and gears); white gesso, Derivan Matisse Impasto Medium; Mont Marte metallic paints (copper and bronze); windmill die cut, ribbon and steam punk charm (unknown); cuttle bug; Amazing Race Kit (green felt leaves); Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists (Monster Mash, Key Lime Pie and Mustard seed); Spellbinder's Craft Foil Precious Metals; Prima trinket (country garden); home made (old dress pattern pp) flowers; brads (Kaiser pearl), crystal green and topaz brads, Helmar adhesives, Versacolor ink (black); stamps, Bo Bunny & Adorn It alpha stickers.
Thank you again for visiting...next challenge stop is "Mainland America" due Monday 15th October, so until then have a great week and loads of hugs xxx Mazz xxx

Quote of the Day
butterfly kisses
My fairy
Your fairy is called Columbine Goblinglitter
She is a bringer of riches and wealth.
She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows.
She is only seen in the light of a shooting star.
She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.
